Just finished first shave with the Fili and man that was a treat! 3-4 passes in all directions with no burn. A nice BBS shave indeed. What a difference from the other razor. First, I felt like I had a real tool in my hand that was all business. Now I've read this before but reading it and feeling it in your hand as you are about to take it up to your 'raso'd face is something only those who use one of these choppers will ever understand. Comparing it to the Black Star Dovo, is like comparing a toothpick to an oar for paddling in a pond!

The shave itself was just terriffic. What a great feeling it was to have a blade that just cuts right through...no dancing, no jumping...just does what it was meant to do. Of course that has a lot to do with your work so please take all the credit! As in every one of my straight shaves I used the whole blade in different places to get different angles, from heel to toe and that thing shaves clean...real clean. To boot my neck was much easier to deal with and I'm sure that area will get even smoother with more use. Again, thanks and feel free to use me for a testimonial to your skills and customer service. You have impressed me enough that I will use the Well Honed Razor for my needs in the future. If you ever want me to write an endorsement or use me as a reference to other members, just ask.

Gentleman this soap is heavenly! I sent my new razor to Mike at the wellhonedrazor.com for a honing and when it came back there was a soap sample in the box. I thought, "Gee, that's very nice of him," not knowing that he had made it himself! Well I threw it in a mug and whipped up some lather...WOW! The smell was just wonderful but here's the thing: somehow it lasts but is not strong. And though it is Bay oil and Clove, it doesn't remind you of food...it reminds you of the great shave you just had with it.
